In France. I swear I've never listened to so much Green Day before.

First day = Saturday before Bastille Day. Yeah. NEVER go east on the A10 between Paris and Toulouse on a Saturday, especially THAT Saturday. Should've taken us two and a half hours. Ended up being seven, plus dehydration. And, being the navigator, I had to tell my dad repeatedly stuff like 'No, the gare is NOT a place we want to go;' 'Lille is a place, we don't need to follow that sign;' etc.

Motorbikes. They don't act like cars, but bikes. Weaving through the traffic at insane speeds.

We were out in the country. Way out. Tractors going through the backyard... chicken eating table scraps... yep. At least we were near Tours.

Apparently Muscadet is a place with really good wines. I wouldn't know, I've only tried a couple types.

Lots of fields and a bunch of people bunched together in little towns. Lovely.

Overall, France is pretty similar to England, but with a bit less rain and no humidity. And the language, of course.

And now I've got to make up for missing band camp, and there's a month to finish summer reading in. A Lesson Before Dying is a pretty good book, actually.

I've also got this insane urge to go play Harvest Moon, WoW, Oblivion, and Mario Kart Wii. I've been stuck with Pokemon the last two weeks, and boredom really hit me. Blastoise named Billie Joe, Charmeleon named Tre Cool, and something pending for Mike, Gloria, Christian, and the trumpeter in King for a Day. [If any of you understood half of that paragraph, have a Toblerone.]

And I really, REALLY want James Rollins' new book. I've just finished reading Black Order, and now must start collecting his books and researching Xerum 525 and quantum mechanics. Amazing what I've learned from my first mystery book.
